On April 30, PSSI co-organized a lecture with Frank Asbeck, Principal Advisor for Space and Security Policy at the EEAS. The lecture entitled "Policy Framework for Space Security Activities in the European Unionwas" is part of lecture series with the aim to raise awareness about Charles University's new course "Space Security in the 21st century".
Mr. Asbeck provided an overview of the development of space security policy in the EU, introduced how space is organized in EU institutions and inter-institutional interaction concerning space security issues.

Mr. Asbeck is Principal Adviser for Space and Security Policy, European External Action Service (EEAS), previously served as Director of the European Union Satellite Centre (EU SatCen), and Deputy Director of the former Western European Union Satellite Centre.
