The Prague Centre for Transatlantic Relations of the CEVRO Institute (PCTR) in cooperation with Forum 2000 invites you to a public debate „Democracy at War: Israel's Twisted Image in Western Democracies”, which will take place on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm in the atrium of the CEVRO Institute (Jungmannova 17, Prague 1).
The public debate will be held with the participation of Dr. Amichai Magen. He is a Senior Lecturer (US Associate Professor) and Head of the MA Program in Diplomacy & Conflict Studies at the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy. He also heads the Governance & Political Violence Program at the Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT), and is a Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University.
Dr. Joshua Muravchik, the other speaker, is an American writer and the author of eleven books, including Heaven on Earth: The Rise and Fall of Socialism, and also more than 400 articles in newspapers, magazines, and scholarly journals.
The third speaker, Dr. Dan Schueftan, is the Director of the National Security Studies Center at the University of Haifa. For the last years he has been a consultant to Israeli decision makers and to the top echelon of Israel's Prime Minister's Office, Foreign Ministry, Defense Ministry, the IDF and The National Security Council.
The event will be opened by Alexandr Vondra, the Director of PCTR, and moderated by Tomáš Pojar, the Vice President for International Relations of the CEVRO Institute
