The aim of the policy conference is to discuss cyber security challenges and appropriate policies related to data management in state institutions or private companies operating large databases of clients and customers. A special attention will be given to privacy protection in e-commerce.

The conference will conclude of a series of closed-door debates on selected topics of cyber security with experts from different sectors and knowledge domains, policy makers, lawyers, cyber practitioners, and the representatives of business and industry from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, and other countries. In our debates we discussed compatibility between national and business approaches towards cyber security, we examined how to mitigate cyber risks through proper allocation of investments into hardware and software protection tools, and we explored the nexus between critical infrastructure protection and cyber security.
