PSSI, in cooperation with the Institute of Political Studies at the Charles University (Institut politologických studií FSV UK), the American Center in Prague and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague (ČVUT FEL), invites you to a public guest lecture within the Master's Degree course entitled "Space Security in the 21st Century" on the topic of Space Security that will take place at the American Center in Prague.

This lecture will introduce the key issues discussed at the latest World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-15). His lecture will examine the legal regime governing the use of the radiofrequency spectrum and orbital slots. Specifically, it will review the principles and regulations governing frequency spectrum allocations, the rights and obligations of the ITU Member States related to obtaining access to the spectrum/orbits, and international recognition of these rights. The lecture will also describe challenges related to ensuring efficient, rational and cost-effective utilization of the orbit and spectrum resources.

Mr. Matas serves as Head of the Space Publications and Registration Division in the ITU Radiocommunication Bureau - Space Services department. He is responsible for the processing and publication of GSO and non-GSO space systems and Earth stations submitted by administrations for inclusion in the for mal coordination procedures or recording in the Space Master International Frequency Register (SMIFR).
